Pay Attention Class.Â
We’ve spent the past few weeks quietly beavering away on our final release of the year – the soundtrack that accompanies the new St Trinian’s movie. Although the film isn’t in the cinema’s until December 21, we’ve been lucky enough to see a ‘nearly finished’ version and let us tell you - it’s officially one hundred shades of amazing. There’s an all star cast - including Rupert Everett as Camilla the head mistress and Colin Firth as Geoffrey, ‘the love interest’ and Minister of Education. Lilly Cole is in it too. So are Girls Aloud. And Russell Brand. Oho – the list just goes on.
The soundtrack features not one, but TWO, brand-new-otherwise-unavailable Girls Aloud tracks – one of which ‘The Theme from St Trinian’s’ is to be accompanied by a video that’ll be on the TV music stations next week. Other highlights include Sophie’s ‘If I Can’t Dance’, a hysterical version of ‘Love Is In The Air’ by Rupert Everett and Colin Firth, and a cast rendition of the Shampoo classic, ‘Trouble’. Your new favourite CD is out in shops on December 10, and you can pre-order by CLICKING HERE.
It’s been another pop-filled week over at the Fascination Villa (we wish) this week. Here’s what we’ve been up to…
Monday: Arrrgh! Both the Girls Aloud and Lee Mead albums are out today. The nerves, the nerves!
Tuesday: We tried to look at the midweeks with closed eyes today. And when we opened them, Girls Aloud were in the top 3 and Lee was in the Top 15 – hooray!
Wednesday: Sound the alarm – it’s new Girls Aloud video news. We brainstormed some ideas for the next release today. We can tell you that it will feature many a wig, but we cannot tell you which song it will be! All in good time. Â
Thursday: Well we didn’t exactly win the Nordoff-Robbins music quiz. In fact, we came 8th. But who would be proud to know what a distorted Wings album cover looks like? Maybe Heather Small – she’s a proud lady.
Friday: The Fascination Factory was working at full capacity on Friday as we carefully crafted our St Trinian’s badges. Featuring slogans such as ‘Hockey Sticks and Balls Of Steel’ – an accessory made for your school bag (or briefcase!)
Until next week, do your pop homework or see me after class.
